Rotary valve Each part variation
Variation of shaft seal
It is possible to specify shaft seal system as follows
Standard
Gland Packing

- Standard shaft seal system, Teflon 4 steps standard
- Shaft seal force can be adjusted by tightening the gland holding bolt
Options
Oil Seal

- Use, when fibrous shaft sealant like gland packing cannot be used
- Arrange seal ring at the innermost part and insert oil seal
- Oil seal has directional movement in seal performance and direction can be selected according to conditions
Gland Packing + Lantern Ring Purge

- When inner pressure of rotary valve is plus pressure, then it is possible to place lantern ring and equip with air purge mechanism
- It is possible to prevent powder entry in shaft seal by purging with slightly higher pressure than the inside pressure
- Combined use of lantern ring and gland packing
Oil Seal + Lantern Ring Purge

- When inner pressure of rotary valve is plus pressure, then it is possible to place lantern ring and equip with air purge mechanism
- It is possible to prevent powder entry in shaft seal by purging with slightly higher pressure than the inside pressure
- Combined use of lantern ring and oil seal
Grease-sealed Lantern Ring

- When inner pressure of rotary valve is plus pressure, then it is possible to place lantern ring and equip with grease sealing mechanism
- Prevention of powder entry in shaft seal by grease sealing
- Design of grease discharge port below the case of shaft seal
Labyrinth

- Design of a gap between labyrinth ring and shaft and prevention of powder entry to shaft due to air purge
- Specialty is that there is no sliding part in shaft seal
V-ring

- Structure to adjust shaft seal pressure by stacking elastic material like Teflon etc. in cross section V shape and compression enables the adjustment
Mechanical Seal

- Every manufacturer’s mechanical seal can be used
- As the shaft structure and size differs depending on the mechanical seal, normally plated stuffing box is used
CIP Cleaning Seal

- Shaft seal structure complying to CIP (Cleaning in place)
- During CIP cleaning, prevention of powder and washing liquid entry in shaft seal by continuous air purge
